Christmas Celebration in Sparta
It was with great joy, we performed Christmas songs for our audience along with Stefanos Kozanis on the piano, being invited by Music Association‘Taygeti’, at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Sparta. The event ‘Christmas – Day of Love’ was dedicated to the metropolitan bishop of Monemvasia and Sparta Efstathios, for the 45th anniversary of his ordination.
We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and audience and wish to thank all of them very much!! – This is how Christmas should be!

‘Chet Baker Tribute’ at ‘Jazzét’ in Athens
Once again, Finnish trumpet player Jykä Ahola paid Athens a visit and performed in three locations. I had the pleasure of joining him with his ‘Shadow and Light Quartet’ at ‘Jazzét Café / Music Hall’.
Stefanos Kozanis was on the piano, Jimmy Bikos on the double bass and Evangelia Stavrou on drums.
During this wonderful evening we dived into the spirit of the legendary recordings of Chet Baker, performing our own interpretations.

Today we recorded a song that will be published in a few months’ time:
‘Love’s Crime‘ at ‘Artracks Studios‘, written by Stefanos Kozanis and Karina Rubinstein (who also plays the drums on this recording). Jimmy Bikos was our dedicated bass player.
Wonderful singer Athena Chioti also recorded two extraordinary songs with Stefanos on the piano.

April 11th 2025:
Feelings of happiness and joy after our wonderful gig at ‘Concerto Café Artistic‘ in Athens! We played favorite jazz standards along with tracks by the great Greek composers of the 1930s-1950s, as well as compositions by the participants themselves, written in the 2010s-2020s!
A Big ‘Thank you’ goes to my dear friends and musical allies Katerina Adamopoulou, Stefanos Kozanis, Dimitris Moudopoulos and Georgios T. Anamateros!!
